Been a while since we've had patch notes on the site instead of Discord, huh?

Welcome to Patch 7.0. This marks another major update and version bump for Infinity Nest. A bunch of changes have happened, so pay attention below.

The world as you knew it has been swept clean. The coffers stand empty, the old gold and vouchers rendered worthless, and the era of unchecked fortune has come to an end.


In its place rises a new path—reforged systems, overhauled progression, and the promise of true heroism.

Revamped Progression - Hero's Journey

With the release of Patch 7.0, a thorough revamp of progression and several system updates have been implemented.

All gold balances across inventories, storage, mail, and the market have been reset to zero.
Previously held gold vouchers are now valued at only 1 Copper and can no longer be utilised for exchanges.
The old gold vouchers have been removed from the General Merchants.

Furthermore, version 7.0 introduces a comprehensive overhaul of gear progression, which includes:

Core Progression Changes

  • Hero's Tears and Combat Readiness (CR) systems have been fully retired.
  • New Systems Introduced:
    • Gear Scores (replaces CR)
    • Infinity Points (for progression purchases)
    • Lucky Zone rotation
    • Revised Enchantments
    • Labyrinth Scaling rework

Why the Overhaul?

We’ve noticed that our current set of content seems to be getting really stale for most players. Activity surged around the release of RuDN Stage 1 during the holidays, but the broader experience needs fresh energy.

Additionally, I've been personally frustrated with the state of gear progression for quite some time. When I worked with the crew on Patch 6.51 to rebalance the early game progression trying to make the transition from Newbie Booster gear to FDN gear smoother, we had to make some unfavorable decisions. Equipment obtained from Fission Maze stores had to open at specific enchant levels in order to be statistically better to wear over Newbie Booster Gear. Equipment like Unique Dragon Jades barely provided a boost in stats because they were from a different era of our private server where stats on equipment were much lower.

Admittedly, I think there were a lot of shortcuts taken and it made the whole experience feel lackluster. With this overhaul of PvE content and rebalanced equipment, I hope that players will find early-to-mid-to-late game progression to have a much more satisfying sense of growth as your stats gradually increase with each upgrade.

Unfortunately, you may have noticed that this project has led to delays in the release of Stages 2-4 of Rune Dragon. For that, I apologize. When I pitched this idea to the crew it was decided that we would have to do it before releasing anymore RuDN Stages. It would be unfair to make the finishing touches on Stage 2-4, then rebalance it all over again once we finished the overhaul.

Now continuing onward, here are all the noteworthy stuff:

Item Enhancements

With the release of our new version 7.0 patch, we have implemented several modifications to the enhancement aspect of the equipment system. These changes include:

  • Enhancement Protection Jellies are no longer mandatory for enhancement.
  • The cost of enhancement in gold is now determined by the type of item, its rarity, and the current enhancement level.

Additionally, we are adjusting the success rates for all items, which will now range from a minimum of 50% to amaximum of 90%.

Furthermore, with these changes, items will no longer have a chance of being destroyed upon failure during the enhancement process. This also means that we are introducing the enhancement level drop upon failure on certain enhancement levels.

Gear Scores

We will also be introducing Gear Scores for all equipment in the Hero's Journey, which includes Crests and Jades.

With the retirement of Combat Readiness (CR), Gear Scores will serve as the primary metric for evaluating the value of equipment moving forward.

This also mean that with these changes, there will no longer be penalties when a certain player couldn't meet the gear requirement to enter a Nest/Raid.

Scaling

We have implemented some modifications for both Dungeons and Nests to enhance compatibility with the scaling of Hero's Journey Equipment.

The scaling for Nests based on party members has been altered. For 4-Man Nests, the HP has been slightly increased for 1-2 player parties, whereas the scaling has been slightly reduced for 3-4 player parties.

The maximum weight scaling applied to nests will be for 3P Parties, means that a party with 4P will having weighted scaling as if they enter as 3P.

Fission Maze and Dungeons

We are aware that a good chunk of players are not really fond of spamming Fission Maze over and over again, so with version 7.0, we are saying farewell to Fission Maze.
By doing so, we are now free to reuse the Nests that were once locked behind it, without fear of any balance issues. This means more frequent content releases as well.

With the removal of Fission Maze, we’ll be reintroducing dungeon farming as a main activity and a major part of gear progression.

Upon clearing Dungeons, players will now receive Gold and Infinity Points, with the quantity of drops increasing at the higher the labyrinth level.

This also means that Dungeons will serve as a viable source of gold for players to farm moving forward.

Once players have acquired a sufficient number of Infinity Points, they can interact with the Shopkeeper Elizabeth NPC to access the Infinity Point Shop.

The shop offers a range of rewards, including enhancement materials for new equipment and a selection of other useful items.

Lucky Zone

Certain Nests and Dungeons possess infinite luck when they are featured in the rotation of the Lucky Zone.

Players can recognise these zones by an icon displayed in the upper-right corner of the screen.

Key Information Regarding Infinity Lucky Zones

  • Weekly Rotation

    • Each week, a predetermined number of stages are chosen. The schedule undergoes a rotation with each weekend.
  • Enhanced Rewards

    • Upon successfully completing a Lucky Zone, players are able to open a Lucky Chest at the conclusion of the stage, which contains supplementary rewards, including Gold and Infinity Points.

    The volume of rewards increases with the elevation of labyrinth floors.

  • Locations of Access

    • Lucky Zones can be accessed from various locations, including Hermalte Port, Riverwort Wharf, and Merca's Port, etc.

In future updates, new items may be incorporated into the Lucky Zone chests.

These will include new crafting and enhancement materials, ultra-rare cosmetics, and a variety of other rewards.

Equipment

With this progression revamp, we are introducing new gear sets for players to progress through.

The sets will commence with the Infinity Adventurer's Set, followed by the Infinity Hero's Set, the Infinity Champion's Set, and concluding with the Infinity Saviour's Set.

Furthermore, with this update, we will be retiring the class archetype equipment across all equipment, including Jades, Armour, Accessories, and various other items that previously featured such classifications.

Infinity Adventurer's Set

This set will replace the Newbie Booster set. All players will receive a complete set of Infinity Adventurer's gear, including Armour and Talismans, upon the creation of a new character. For existing characters, simply speak to Blacksmith Corin to purchase the Adventurer Set.

Infinity Hero's Set

The Infinity Hero's Set will be the initial upgrade in the sequence. Players must defeat Yoshitsune in Blade of The East to acquire the materials required for crafting the gear.

Upon clearing the nest, players will get various drops that can be brought to Blacksmith to craft Infinity Hero's Set.

Some specific types of equipment, such as Crests and Talismans can't be crafted directly inside Blacksmith's Crafting UI.

Instead, they can be bought in one of the Blacksmith's Shop.

Upon having full set of Infinity Hero's Equipment, players can start grinding the next progression items in each respective Set's nests.

In the case of Infinity Hero's Set, players can grind Manticore Nest to obtain various rewards relevant to the gear tier

The portal for this nest is located on the Southwest side of the map, inside :

  • Garden of Eternity (2-4 Nests)

Just like the Scaling section stated, monsters' HP inside this nest has different weight depending on how many people entered the instance.

Infinity Champion's Set

Infinity Champion's Set is the next upgrade from Infinity Hero's.

In order to craft this set, players will need to clear [Archbishop Nest] located inside Hero's Journey - Champion portal.

It has higher stats than the previous set and players can start enhancing their equipments starting from this set !

There are a few nests inside Hero's Journey - Champion Portal that players can do, and each one of them drops different materials that are required to craft/enhance/buy different items related to the gear tier.

In this example, players can buy Infinity Champion's Crest by using the material drops from [Professor K Nest].

Not limited to Crests, players can craft/buy various equipments by bringing the materials dropped from the Nest to Blacksmith.

For more details, players can look at the Reward List on each nest to see what materials they drop, and the usage for each materials.
Due to the limitation of showing the rewards, some nests will drop more materials than just what the Reward List displays.

As stated above in the Enhancement section, equipment no longer has a chance to break upon failure.

Each enhancement level will have increased gold costs, and for each 5 levels of enhancement, the type of materials needed for enhancement will also increase.

Infinity Champion's Set has up to +10 Enhancement Level that players can achieve.

And just like the previous set, Crests and Talismans for Infinity Champion's Set can be bought inside Hero's Journey Shop at Blacksmith.

In addition, players can start getting their Expedition Crests in this tier.

Infinity Saviour's Set

Onto the next set and the final set before the end-game equipment, we have Infinity Saviour's Set.

In order to craft this set, players can get the crafting materials obtained from clearing [Typhoon Kim Nest] located inside Hero's Journey - Saviour portal.

And just like the previous sets, upon obtaining the materials, players can talk to Blacksmith to access the Crafting UI and craft the desired class' Infinity Saviour's Set.

With Infinity Saviour's set, the max enhancement level has gone up to +15, and just like Infinity Champion, for every 5 level enhancement levels, there will be more materials needed to enhance the piece.

Additionally, with Patch v7.0, players can exchange their previous L-Grade Armour Piece and Weapons into Infinity Saviour's by accessing [Convert Version 6.X Equipment] shops at Blacksmith.

Players can buy the conversion hammer for 1 Copper each.

Infinity Savior's Conversion Hammers will only work on the following sets of equipment:

Enhancement Level on previous L-Grade Equipment will carry over upon converting the piece to Infinity Saviour's!

We will not be able to allow for existing role-locked archetype Legendary Dragon Jades to convert into Unique Infinity Savior's Dragon Jade. This means you will have to refarm your Jades.

Rune Dragon - Undead Knight

The Undead Knight rides again—not for glory, nor vengeance, but for the will of Mamon, the Rune Dragon. Once a knight of great renown, death did not end his oath. Instead, it bound him tighter.

Upon clearing any stage of Rune Dragon Nest, players can bring the items obtained to the Blacksmith to craft the desired hammers, including Crests and Jades.

And just like the current Rune Dragon Gears that players can obtain, which are the Rings and Boots, all of Rune Dragon Gears have 2 Variations:

  • Berserker, which favours offensive stats
  • Unyielding, which favours defensive stats

We are also introducing back the Bonus Set with Rune Dragon Gears, so that players can mix and match to obtain their favoured set bonuses.

We will not compensate players for choosing the wrong piece, please make sure that all players choose their gears wisely.

Infinity/Deluxe/Seasonal Boxes

We apologize for letting our monthly and seasonal rotation stagnate while we worked on v7.0.

Things will be back to normal from now on, and to make it up to all players, we made some big updates to our gacha boxes for v7.0 !
Infinity Boxes, Infinity Deluxe Boxes and Seasonal Gacha Boxes have received the following changes :

  • New Crafting Materials for v7.0 Hero's Journey Gear
  • Various new mount gacha boxes are added. More will be available over time
  • Deluxe and Seasonal Boxes will have increased drop rates on rare items and also contain exclusive drops not found in Infinity Box.

The rest of our planned Themed W/T/D Gacha Boxes will be released over time as well, including many of the W/T/D sets featured in the Gold Burn event shop! We have a lot of catching up to do on our end.

Seasonal Gacha

The Spring Boxes are now available to purchase in the I.C Shop, under the "Gacha" category.

With the changes that's listed in the previous section, Seasonal Gacha Boxes now has a lot more relevant items for players to obtain.

Our main jackpot for this seasonal box is (2025) Elemental Tree Leaf, and you can trade them at Pania shop, and everything can be previewed there, so check it out in-game!

The previous Beginner's Guide has been changed into Hero's Path with this patch.

There are plenty of tasks that players can complete. And there will be various rewards upon completing each tasks.

Town Hub Changed

  • New major patch, new town. We've moved from Milla Laurel to Calderock Village. We originally wanted Saint Haven, but there were lighting and other issues we couldn't fix in due time. Besides, more grass is better. Touch it.

Playable Content

  • Loot for [Rune Dragon - Ferocious Gatekeeper] has been multiplied by x10 to align with increased crafting costs. And all loots in inventory have been multiplied accordingly.
  • The previous EFM Collection Titles have been moved to Hero's Path rewards upon clearing Rune Dragon 1st stage - 4th stage.

General

  • IC Coupons have been added back to Dragon Vault and replaced the existing CC Coupons.
  • Skill Tree Expansion has been added to Dragon Vault.
  • Jellies has been removed from Dragon Vault.
  • Portals to Raids and Nests in various fields has been disabled. All access to Raids and Nests right now are inside Garden of Eternity.
  • All Collection Titles' stats have been set to zero. Yes, this means players who have unobtainable Collection Titles no longer benefit from stat bonuses, everyone is at the same base now. These changes will not include the previous EFM Collection Titles that can now be obtained from clearing Rune Dragon Nest.

Collection Titles will come back in a future system where players can earn custom designed titles while playing various content available in Patch 7.0

  • Epic Engravings have been removed from the crafting pool.

All crafted engravings now will be Unique as the lowest rarity, making it significantly easier to obtain Max and/or Perfect Engravings.

  • Guild Buffs have been reset. You'll have to buy them again after accumulating enough Guild Points and Gold. Sorry to the guilds who had guild buffs active until 2040, I don't think we'll survive remotely that long lmao. Furthermore, we have plans on revamping both guild buffs in general and their associated costs in a future patch so they're more worth it.
  • Party Rewards tab in Community (O) have been refreshed to feature available party contents.

Various items used in v6 of the game have been marked as legacy, such as :

  • Community Coupons are marked as Legacy and is not be a valid exchange item anymore. If by some unfortunate events that players haven't been able to spend them before this patch, they are no longer valid for anything in v7 onwards.
  • (Cash) Love of Friend will also be marked as Legacy and won't be a valid exchange item. From this patch onwards, newly obtained Love of Friend will be stored in (General) Inventory.

There are several items from v6 that have been carried over into v7, but have been renamed or have had their rarity adjusted, including but not limited to:

    • Gladiator Enhancement (CR7 to Perfect) Crests were changed into Unique Rarity, and are renamed to be a part of the Infinity Saviour's Equipment Set.
  • Forest Dragon Items

    • Forest Dragon Expedition Crests were changed to Unique Rarity, and are renamed to be a part of the Infinity Saviour's Equipment Set.
  • Trial of The Forgotten Items

    • Perfect Unique Crests were changed into Epic Rarity, and are renamed to be a part of the Infinity Saviour's Equipment Set
    • Unique Expedition Crests were changed into Epic Rarity, and are renamed to be a part of the Infinity Saviour's Equipment Set.

Pets

All L-Grade pets' stats have been reduced, and their rarity has been changed to Rare (Blue)

Additionally, all pets' accessories grade has been changed to Magic (Green).

We have plans on releasing higher tier pets using a system planned for the future patches.

NPCs

Irine

  • Shops at Irine NPC have been combined.

Irine's Community and Play-Time Exchange Shop is being simplified by combining the two into Irine Point Shop that uses Irine Points as currency.

The previously available Play-Time Points are being directly converted into Irine Points, and existing community coupons are marked as legacy. The coupons will no longer be available for purchase.

The content for Irine Point Shop has been adjusted, where some items have been removed and new items are being added.

The rarity of existing, and newly purchased items from this shop have been adjusted to Magic Rarity.

Cherry

  • Shops at Cherry NPC has been combined.

Previously, she had both Engraving Emporium and Engraving Shop. After this update, Engraving Shop is now inside the Engraving Emporium. Additionally, Pen Exchange Ticket has been added for 35k Engraving Points each.

Class Specialist

  • An option to specialize a class without moving into Trial Zone has been added back to Class Specialist NPC.

Trainer Lindsay

  • Previous mounts in her previous Mount Shop has been removed.
  • New categories has been added to Mount Shop, alongside with related mounts.
  • All Medallions obtained prior to V7.0 will be obsolete and cannot be traded with the mounts at the shop.

Starting from v7.0, we've introduced various Mount Boxes which will be the main source of Mount Medallions.

Players can obtain Mount Box at random by opening our gacha boxes, this also include the seasonal and deluxe gacha boxes which offer a higher rate.

Each gacha boxes has their possible items listed, including the mount box.

Make sure you pay attention to it before opening.

Elizabeth

  • Elizabeth now has 2 Shops which players can access.
  • Dungeon Point Shop

Dungeon Point Shop has various items, starting from Enhancement Materials, all the way to other useful items that will help you with progressing through the game.

Upon clearing Dungeons in the game, players will obtain Infinity Points that can be used to buy the items in Dungeon Point Shop.

  • Hero Level Store

This shop has Hero Level EXP items that players can buy using Gold. These items has different EXP stored depending on the rarity.

Current Hero Level Cap in Infinity Nest is 35 !

Adventurer's Guild Master Deckard

  • Players can talk to this NPC for various guild related activities, such as creating one.
In a future update, Guild Honour Coin Shop will return and be hosted by Deckard.

Blacksmith Corin

  • Blacksmith Corin has various new shops that players can access.
  • New Player Equipment Store

Players can buy the new starting gear, Infinity Adventurer's Equipment with gold in this store.

  • Hero's Journey Shops

This shop contains all stuff regarding gear progression. There are 4 Shops inside this Shop, which are:

  • Enhancement Material Conversion

In this shop, players can exchange lower rarity Enhancement Material into the higher rarity ones.

Each rarity upgrade has a 3:1 conversion ratio.

  • Enhancement Material Gold Shop

In this shop, players can spend golds obtained from dungeons, nests, IC trading, or any other means to acquire various progression materials.

Some materials in this shop are also eligible for the Material Conversion Shop. Some materials in this shop are also eligible for the Material Conversion Shop.
  • Hero's Journey Crests

In this shop, players can buy Rare, Epic and Unique Infinity Crests for gold and their corresponding exchange item.

As stated in the image, and previously in the Progression category, each rarity has different exchange item and different nest to farm them !
  • Hero's Journey Talisman

  • Skill animation has been shorten.
  • Hitbox of this skill has been condensed into the Landing animation. Total hitboxes are still the same as the previous itteration, and damage is unchanged.
  • The falling speed of summoned [Jellies] are now the same.

This means that [Golden Jellies] will fall in a faster rate, making it faster for the buff to be activated.

  • Fixed several issues with buying various Costume Pieces in the Dragon Vault.
