Patch 4.83B - Shooting Star + PVP
Hey folks, this patch we're releasing the anticipated Shooting Star revamp, plus more fixes and PVP balancing improvements - Kali should now be playable in PVP.
General Adjustments
I.C Shop
- The Heraldry Expansion item is now free to obtain.
- The July Pania coupon rotation now takes effect in the Infinity Boxes. They are the Atonement and Nightmare weapon sets.
Town
- Saint Haven has been upgraded.
This patch we say goodbye to the old Saint Haven, we've upgraded the town and NPCs to the 70 Cap variant for future main questing support. Several custom NPC models and locations have adjusted.
The Official Server Guide will be outdated until we get around to updating it, please be patient.
System
- The Daily Quests at the Blacksmith NPC have been removed, as they are obsolete while we have the Daily Tasks system.
- The Job Changer NPC had her dialogue overhauled.
- We've added five more soundtrack choices to the custom PVP music selection.
- The client fontset and style has been adjusted.
(PVE) Class Adjustments
The following class skills have been adjusted as follows:
[(Nightmare) Dark Crash]
- The skill startup speed has been increased.
[Lock and Load EX]
- The amount of Ammo created has increased from 2 -> 5.
- An additional attack is possible by clicking [Left Mouse Button] after the initial hit.
[Splash EX]
- The amount of Ammo consumed per cast has increased from 2 -> 5.
- The amount of bullets shot has decreased from 9 -> 3.
- Damage output has significantly increased.
[Make it Rain EX]
- The cooldown has decreased from 25s -> 15s.
[Ping Pong Bomb EX]
- The skill effects have been reworked.
- No longer bounces between targets, and it now pierces enemies.
[Overheat]
- New Active buff skill which was added.

[Windcall]
- The additional hitbox which is far away from the player has been removed.
[Hoarfrost's Might]
- The aura now immediately applies on the first frame of skill activation.
(PVP) Class Adjustments
The following class skills have been adjusted as follows:
General
- Unused bubbles have been removed for the following classes: Gladiator, Lunar Knight, Mercenary, Blade Dancer, and Spirit Dancer.
[Frenzied Charge]
- The invincibility frames granted during skill cast are removed.
[Brave]
- The vertical hitbox length has reduced.
[Blade Storm]
- The projectile speed has reduced.
[Frenzied Charge EX]
- The invincibility frames granted during skill cast are removed.
[Enervating Howl]
- Now applies its debuff with every hitbox.
- Superarmour value has decreased fromo 1,200 -> 400.
[Cleaving Gale]
- Skill damage output has been halved.
- The vertical hitbox length has increased.
[Calamity Crush]
- Minor damage scaling adjustments have been made: First two hits are 12.5%, third hit 25%, and last hit is 50% of Physical Damage.
[(Nightmare) Dark Crash]
- The action speed increase effect has been removed.
[Deadly Blow]
- Superarmour break effect has decreased from 600 -> 400.
[Carnage]
- The cooldown charge amount has decreased from x15 -> x5.
[(Nightmare) Carnage]
- The cooldown charge amount has decreased from x15 -> x5.
[Normal Attack]
- The damage output has increased.
[Phantom Guard]
- Damage reduction effect has increased from 10% -> 20%.
[HP Passive]
- The entire skill has been replaced with our custom Rage comeback mechanic.
[Dummy Ghost]
- Skill VFX have been added back to the action.
[Phantom Claw EX Advent]
- This skill is no longer usable in PVP.
[Hands of Vengeance EX]
- Skills now usable at frame 90 instead of frame 65.
[Rampage Claw EX]
- Action speed increase effects disabled, and a camera lock has been added.
[Windcall]
- The additional hitbox which is far away from the player has been removed.
[Stalker]
- Projectile duration has decreased from 12s -> 8s.
[Chakram Flurry EX]
- The action speed increase effect was removed.
[Whirligig EX]
- The action speed increase effect was removed.
[Bladeflip EX]
- The action speed increase effect and input for Gust Dementia was removed.
[Chakram Storm EX]
- The action speed increase effect was removed.
[Gust Dementia EX]
- The skill now does 4 less hits at the end.
[Stalker EX]
- Projectile duration has decreased from 12s -> 8s.
[Chain Rush]
- Hit state when skill hits enemy and breaks their SA has changed from Stagger to Light Impact.
[Diffused Rays]
- Now reduces enemy's physical and magical resistance instead of their elemental resistance.
- Superarmour reduced from 400 -> 200.
- SA break per hit reduced from 200 -> 150.
[Agility Aura]
- Now increases action and movement speed by 20% for 15s and has a cooldown of 60s.
- Superarmour reduced from 400 -> 200.
[Providence]
- Superarmour reduced from 400 -> 200.
[Wild Spada]
- Now begins with the spinning attack immediately.
- Action speed has slightly reduced.
- Superarmour reduced from 600 -> 200.
- SA break of first two hits has increased from 50 -> 200.
[Twister]
- Superarmour has decreased from 400 -> 200.
[Vanishing Spada]
- Superarmour has decreased from 600 -> 400.
- SA break of first hit has increased from 150 -> 200.
- SA break of second hit has increased from 250 -> 400.
[Rising Gust]
- Superarmour has increased from 250 -> 400.
- The skill now starts from frame 30.
[Sharp Hurricane]
- Superarmour has increased from 200 -> 400.
- SA break is 200 per hit.
- The cooldown has decreased from 16s -> 5s.
[Ancient Grace]
- Now increases your superarmour for 10s.
- The timing at which the superarmour buff is granted has been delayed to the hitbox.
[OE Transformation]
- The bubbles no longer increase your own damage.
- Maximum bubble cap increased from 10 -> 20.
- Transformation now begins at 20 bubbles.
- Buff duration reduced from 600s -> 20s.
- 1 bubble is removed per 0.5s while transformed.
[(Holy) Wild Spada]
- Skill changed to vanilla variant.
- Action speed increase effect was removed.
- Superarmour has decreased from 600 -> 400.
- SA break of first two hits increased from 50 -> 200.
[(Holy) Twister]
- Action speed increase effect was removed.
- Superarmour has decreased from 400 -> 200.
[(Holy) Vanishing Spada]
- Action speed increase effect was removed.
- Superarmour has decreased from 600 -> 400.
- SA break of first hit has increased from 150 -> 200.
- SA break of second hit has increased from 250 -> 400.
[(Holy) Rising Gust]
- Skill changed to vanilla variant.
- Action speed increase effect was removed.
- Superarmour has increased from 250 -> 400.
- The skill now starts at frame 30.
[(Holy) Sharp Hurricane]
- The cooldown charge amount has decreased from x15 -> x3.
- The cooldown has decreased from 16s -> 5s.
- Superarmour has reduced from 450 -> 400.
- SA break per hit has increased from 10 -> 100.
[(Holy) Flash Tempest]
- Action speed increase effect was removed.
Resolved Issues
The following issues have been addressed:
- [PVP Only] - An issue wherein cooldown charges were being inherited from PVE and not PVP.
- [PVP Only] - An issue with visual bugs involving PVE/PVP actions.
There was a visual bug where you cast a skill like Roll Attack EX and it looks fine on your screen, but it's playing the wrong animation for everyone else.
This also addresses the Half Moon Slash EX speed issue and other relevant skills displaying incorrectly.
- [PVP Only] An issue wherein Halfmoon Slash EX decreased its CD by 6 seconds.
- An issue wherein Oracle Elder was missing her wings while transformed.
- An issue with several UIs where they were overlapping each other.
- An issue with Elementalist's Shatter skill wherein it could unintentionally influence boss action speed or freeze them in place.
- An issue wherein several bosses could disappear from the map entirely when colliding with specific collision boxes or walls on the stage.
- An issue with Paladin wherein activating Auto Block or Stance of Faith (EX) and using the Guard animation would lower your damage by 90% for the entire game session.
- A visual issue with the I.C Shop wherein purchasing a costume package would change your total CC balance to 0.
- Several damage inconsistency involving DoT ticks, affecting primarily Charitable Zap.
- An issue with Oracle Elder's ultimate where it would be uncastable if standing on any elevated ground such as hills, stairs, steps, small props, etc.
- An issue with CM cooldowns wherein changing maps would make the cooldown timer UIs persist indefinitely.
- An issue with PVP wherein spectators would see incorrect actions being cast by players, such as PVE skill variants being cast instead of PVP.
- An issue with skill cooldown charges wherein using the skill again right after receiving another charge would result in zero hit detection or damage
- An issue with general skills wherein consecutive casts could cause the skill to fail server-side, resulting in zero hit detection or damage
- Several other backend stuff have been resolved.
Known Issues
We're aware of the following issues:
- There are several incorrect skill descriptions and broken M:ID localisation strings throughout the game. Several EX namings are also inconsistent with their non-EX counterparts.
- Several skills when cast consecutively will fail to go off server-side, resulting in zero damage and hit registration.
- [PVP Only] Maelstrom Howl is not usable because it requires certain bubbles which were removed for PVP.
- [PVP Only] Windcall does not properly increase Damage Dealt by 10%.
- [PVP Only] Blade Dancer has reduced cooldowns due to bubbles.
- [PVP Only] Oracle Elder transformation duration is 600 seconds.
