Introduction

My name is Brea (Eternal/breamiin on discord) and I’ve been playing Saint on DN NA since 80 cap and on Infinity Nest since 2021. This is a guide on what I learned on how to play the class with some tips and tricks along the way.

Overview

Saint is a Light Element, healer class that scales off of the Intellect stat as well as Magical Attack stat. This class will use Intellect and Magic items over Agility or Strength.

Stats to prioritize will be :

  • Vitality
  • Intellect
  • Magical Attack
  • Defense and Magic Defense
  • Final Damage
  • Critical Chance and Critical Damage

As most end game gear has everything you'll need for stats, there's no third stats to look for. Just prioritize your Armor and Accessories over :

  • Weapons
  • Legendary Jades
  • Origin to +5 or +8
  • Legendary Runes
  • Unique Stage 4 Talismans
  • Legendary Talismans

A Saint can keep their weapon at +12 for most content, but it's okay to push them higher for more Combat Readiness (CR) for current end game contents.

Skill Build - PvE

I do not PvP so there will not be a skill build recommendation for it.

Important Skills to Note :

  • [Passion]
Shared buff with Assassin. Increasing Max HP and Elemental Attack by 5% for 900s. A 100% uptime buff with super low cooldown
  • [Block]
Prevent Damage and block attacks for up to 5 times or for 20 seconds. Take precautions while Block is on, as it will cancel most, if not all skill animations.
  • [Lightning Moves]
iFrame skill that moves you forward with 5s Cooldown. You can use the CDR Plate for the skill to bring it down to 4s Cooldown.
  • [Mystic Chain]
A debuff skill that reduces Light Resistance on enemies by 25% for 30s. The cooldown for this skill is lower than its debuff duration, making it a 100% uptime debuff.
  • [[Enhanced] Striking]
A potent buff that increases Light Attack by 20% and Phys/Magic Attack by 5%. It has 5s Cooldown and 900s Buff Duration, making it a 100% uptime buff
  • [Sacred Wish]
Saint's ultimate skill that has a long iFrame and can be canceled by tumble or Lightning Moves
  • [[Enhanced] Protection Shell*
A defensive debuff that reduces Damage Taken from any attacks by 5%
  • [Holy Shell]
Grants everyone a barrier that is 5% of their Max HP. This skill has 45s with 900s Duration. It's not a 100% uptime buff since the barrier can deplete from taking damage.
  • [Saint Salvation]
A potent damaging skill from Saint that charges your Hero Skill. It's a full iFrame skill and you can press Left Click to end the skill early. Upon using this skill, you'll be get a buff that will increase the next cast of Blessed Sign.
  • [Immortality]
Reduce everyone's damage taken by 20% for 15s. This skill has 120s Cooldown, so you use it carefully.

Cleric Tree

You need at least 45 SP in this tree to learn ultimate skill. This is the recommendation for the basics.

[Holy Bolt]
This skill only needs to be at level 6, but it can be maxed as you will be using it in rotation frequently.

On Infinity Nest, you can max out about every skill but the base tree doesn't have anything important aside from :

  • Passives
  • Passion
  • Block
  • Heal
  • Holy Bolt

So you should utilize your skill points on these skills.

Priest Tree

You need at least 65 SP used in this tree to learn the first Saint skill.

[Lightning Moves] and [Shock Smash]
These 2 are really good iFrames skills, so don't forget to get them.

[Holy Flux]
This skill will give you 10 [Saint Bubbles] for every cast, and you don't need to hit an enemy to generate the bubbles.
It has stack and you can just hold Left Click to do rapid chaining cast and spend the stack.

After gaining 30 Saint Bubbles, Antiphona Pool and Blessed Sign will change into their Enhanced versions.

Inquisitor Side

The only skill that's good to take from Inquisitor side would be the [Heavenly Judgment] Ultimate. It deals decent damage and is a full, long iFrame.

Do take notes that it will share CD with Sacred Wish, so you'll have to choose between offensive and defensive

Saint Tree

You really want to max everything on this tree since it will be your main skills.

The EX versions improve on the base skills and will add damage or supportive capabilities.

Do note that the last skill to the right in the top row is an Active Skill, named Regeneration.
Tou can place this skill on your hotbar, despite the icon being pink and the same with one of the EX

[Regeneration]
It's one of your two healing over time skills.

There are multiple good options for Saint's Skill Up plate, like :

  • Holy Flux
  • Mystic Chain
  • Shock Relic

The image above shown that [Shock Relic] is taken for the skill up plate, as it's one of the major dps skill for Saint, and resonates well with his playstyle that summons a lot of Relics.

[Great Heal]
This skill should be saved for when party members have taken a lot of damage, or when Heal Relic and Regenerations are on cooldown.

[Immortality]
Thi is a potent defensive tool, but do be cautious on when to use it due to its long cooldown.
The damage reduction buff from the skill can be stacked with Protection Shell or any other damage reduction skills that your party might provide.

Awakening Tree

Learn everything in this tree as its your Awakening Skills.

You can find the previously mentioned Holy Shell, Antiphona Pool, Blessed Sign and Saint Salvation in this tree.

[Saint Salvation]
This is the skill that will charge your Hero Skill gauge.

Do be mindful when to use [[Harmony] Passion], as it has a very long CD and shared with Assassin class.

The Class Mastery III back in Saint's Tree uses Blessed Sign. By chaining Holy Bolt to Blessed Sign, you will deal more damage.
Because the cooldown is not lined up perfectly, it is recommended that you use the chaining combination with [Enhanced] Blessed Sign instead.

[Liturgy of Life]
This is your biggest heal skill. It heals 60% of you and your party member's Max HP, on top of giving a 15s buff.

Upon taking damage when the buff is up, you'll get healed for 15% of your Max HP. Though there's a 2.5s Internal Cooldown after the heal is applied before you can get another heal from the buff.

This skill is basically your emergency heal for when everything goes wrong.
It is heavily adviced that you don't spam this skill off cooldown.

Skill Plates

There are a few recommended skill plates for Saint, and you can adjust it to your preference.

I currently run :

[Block : Cooldown]

  • This helps with defensive gameplay by lowering the skill CD from 45s to 36s.

[Lightning Moves : Cooldown]

  • By having a 1s lower cooldown on this iFrame skill, it can be quite useful for certain end game contents, where you might need a longer iFrame than Tumble.

[Shock Relic : Damage]

  • This increased the damage output of Shock Relic, which is your main damaging skill. You could also run Cooldown plate on this. Either choice will work well.

[Hol Flux : Damage]

  • It helps increasing its damage output.

Other Options

  • [Heavenly Judgement Cooldown or Damage]
  • [Mystic Chain Damage]

Skill Rotation

Saint's main priority in the party is to heal and protect his party members while dealing damage as a second thought.
Generally, you'll want to have Mystic Chain's debuff applied at all times, and use Shock Relic off cooldown.

Here's a skill rotation for Saint :

Passion ➡ Striking ➡ Protection Shell ➡ Holy Shell ➡ Lightning Relic ➡ Mystic Chain ➡ Saint Salvation ➡ Holy Flux 3x ➡ Enhanced Antiphona Pool ➡ Holy Bolt ➡ Enhanced Blessed Sign ➡ Antiphona Pool ➡ Blessed Sign ➡ Heal Relic ➡ Shock Relic ➡ Grand Cross/Holy Burst (if you've learned them and have space on your skill bar) ➡ Lightning Relic ➡ Mystic Chain ➡ Repeat.

Below is a damage rotation example of what I do while not healing.

Healing Tips

If you are in a 4-man Party, generally you will not need to use Great Heal or Liturgy of Life, unless a heavy amount of damage was taken.

Alternate between using Heal Relic and Regeneration to keep your party members alive instead of opting to use the bigger heals and not having them for an emergency heal when you need it.

This can also be applied to 8-man Raids, however, you'll be needing to keep an eye on 7 other health bars plus your own.
If you are the only healer, it can become overwhelming, so it is perfectly acceptable to stack Heal Relic and Regeneration together.

Prioritize using Great Heal over Liturgy of Life if your Heal Over Time skills are on cooldown.
If you are the only one that's in need of a small heal, it is heavily adviced to use Heal skill from Cleric Tree instead. Or Block and take a defensive stance until Heal Over Time is off cooldown.

Saint has 1 cure skill, which is Purify, that can cure most debuffs like burn or frozen that you might encounter in nests and raids. Use as necessary as it will be a use as needed.

Below is an example of Solo Heal in a raid

Skill Bar Set Up

1s Quick Slot
2nd Quick Slot

Skill hotbar is entirely up to you and how comfortable you are with it.

But it is heavily advised to keep the same category on the same side
As it is shown in the picture example :

  • All healing skills are on the Left Side on 2nd Quick Slot
  • All utilities skills are on the Right Side on 1st Quick Slot

The reason why Shock Relic is on the right is because Lightning Relic is exactly on the same key in different quick slot.

Saint uses a lot of skills, so taking Inquisitor skills is not really needed.
His kit already took enough hotbar skills that he doesn't need any filler skills from the other half of Priest Tree
