Introduction

My name is Brea (Eternal/breamiin on discord) and I’ve been playing Blade Dancer on DN NA since 70 cap and on Infinity Nest since 2021.

This is a guide on what I learned on how to play Blade Dancer with some tips and tricks along the way.

From her beginnings as a Dance buffer with some high dps, through her awkward moments in 90 cap on official, and all the way through to 95 cap on official, I’ve stayed with this class.

She has consistently remained a reliable dps class and a fairly balanced one in terms of risk vs reward that this game tends to have.

She might not be a high APM like some other classes are but if you enjoy a class that has eye-catching visual effects, and is a close range, in your face dps class then it might be a fit for you.

Overview

Blade Dancer is a Neutral Element, DPS class that scales off of the Strength stat as well as the Physical Damage stat.

This class will use Bear and Destructive items over Agility, Intelligence, and Vitality.

She is a consistent dps class that focuses on multi-hit skills with a big hit at the end of the skill.

You will have to manage her many buffs and her bubble system properly to maximize her output.

Blade Dancer’s skills lock her in place once they are used so you will need to use her various positioning skills to reposition yourself to a safe zone and use the longer animation skills.

Skill Build - PvE

💡
Since Infinity allows you to max out just about all the skills, you can freely test out all the skills on your second specialization tree.

While I’m an advocate for just a pure Blade Dancer build, I do mention Spirit Dancer’s skills a few times and why it might not be worth learning them.

Core Skills at a Glance

  • Courage
    • Shared Buff with Warrior, All Attack & Stats Increased by 8% with 900s duration
  • Phantom Guard
    • Damage Reduction Buff 20% and Super Armor Buff 50% with 20s duration, Cooldown is 30s
  • Breeze Call Dance
    • FD Buff 20% & DR 24% with 20s duration, Cooldown is 15s. CM1 allows all Blade Dancer skills to reduce their CDs by 2s when the skill is used
  • Breeze Call [Enhanced]
    • Attack 2000% Buff with 20s duration with a cooldown of 20s, has an i-frame when using with 6 Second Wind Bubbles
  • Breeze Call
    • Crit Rate 30% Buff with 5s duration with a cooldown of 10s. It does have an i-frame like the Enhanced version, I do not recommend using it without the 6 Bubbles due to its short duration
  • Graze Dance EX
    • Crit Resist Debuff -30% with 30s duration with a cooldown of 8s, 100% Uptime, will grant 1 Second Wind Bubble
  • Sweet Circle EX
    • Defense Reduction -10% with 30s duration with a cooldown of 6s, 100% Uptime, will grant 1 Second Wind Bubble, skill animation has been modified to the Verdue Skill Jade variant
  • Twinkle Spin EX
    • Good for dodging Stomps or ground attacks, the i-frame is right before she is airborne and after that she is vulnerable to attacks that will reach her height, will grant 1 Second Wind Bubble, you can use the LMB to cast Gust Dementia after you begin falling back down to chain the two skills together
  • Deadly Drill
    • Slight i-frame during the middle of the skill, it is a very small one and very unreliable. The skill can be canceled by using the LMB (Left mouse button) to end it early, will grant 1 Second Wind Bubble
  • Elegant Storm EX
    • Second strongest skill, while using it your damage reduction is increased by 30%, EX enhances the damage and action speed and has modified it to the Blood Moon Skill Jade variant
  • Inner Fire [Awakened]
    • Attack & Attack Speed Buff 15% for 85s, CD is reduced to 90s after learning the Awakening passive, i-frame in the middle of skill, during the dash forward and backwards you are vulnerable to hits and being knocked out of it. You can go immediately into the i-frame by using the LMB and you can cancel out of the dash backwards with Squall Flaker.
  • Ecstatic Dance
    • A big personal damage buff, first part gives additional damage to your skills based on how much HP the enemy has lost. You’ll do 0.5% additional damage for every 1% HP lost by the enemy. The additional damage will cap at 20%. The second part increases your Attack by 20%. It has a 25s duration with a cooldown of 60s, 41% Uptime
  • Squall Flaker
    • Can cancel all skills except Vital Crossing and after you are airborne on Twinkle Spin or Elegant Storm, i-frame on the normal attack, LMB input will raise you in the air which is not an i-frame so you are vulnerable while in the air
  • Gust Dementia EX
    • Your strongest DPS skill, the EX will increase the attack area and the damage it does. Best skill to use the F11 Cash Shop item Skill Up Crest
  • Upright Spin
    • Gain 2 Second Wind bubbles and a buff for 7s. It is an i-frame but you can use any skills to cancel the i-frame. CD is 12s and buff has 58% Uptime, creates a vortex when used with key Blade Dancer skill (See Awakening Tree for more information)
  • Zephyr
    • Fills your Hero Skill gauge and is a full i-frame, you are slightly camera locked in the first few frames then it will unlock you. This can be canceled by Squall Flaker but it is not recommended as it is high dps skill for Blade Dancer
  • Blade Step
    • Strong DPS skill, non-CM3 version is full i-frame; use after Fancy Turn and it will drop the i-frame but increases the damage, use after Zephyr as the Awakening Power boosts the damage by 100%
  • Grazing Rush
    • A quick 10 hit skill that has no i-frame nor super armor, very risky skill to use however it is a very fast casting skill so it's perfect to use for repositioning yourself against the enemy.
💡
Caution about Spirit Dancer skills

If you pick up any Spirit Dancer skills just be mindful that you will want to prioritize being under Breeze Call Dance when it comes to your FD Buff.

Illusion Dance shares cooldown with Breeze Call Dance so any skills on the other tree will not be enhanced by the FD buff !

Kali Tree

Here you need at least 45 SP used to learn the ultimate skill and this is what I recommend for the basics.

Fancy Turn only needs to be level 6 but it can be maxed as you’ll be using it in rotation frequently.

💡
On Infinity, you can max out just about every skill but the base tree doesn’t have anything important aside from the passives, Phantom Guard, Courage, and Fancy Turn so this is where I would utilize my skill points.

Fancy Turn

A skill that is a must learn in order to learn the Class Mastery 3 passive on the Blade Dancer tree.

It’s very important for increasing her DPS so it is recommended that it is maxed out, as you’ll be using it with Blade Step each time Blade Step is off cooldown.

This is part of Class Mastery 3 passive for Blade Dancer and is used in tandem with either Squall Flaker or Blade Step.

You can completely ignore the passive for Squall Flaker as I recommend putting the skill on your hotbar, due to spacebar’s input sometimes not registering at all.

💡
It also has a close Cooldown with Blade Step and is better suited to pair it with !

Phantom Guard

A self-buff that reduces the damage taken by 20% and increases your Super Armor by 50%.

💡
The damage reduction is really the only useful portion about the buff as the Super Armor increase is miniscule.

Courage

This is your class party buff, it is the same buff that warrior has. The [Harmony] Courage awakening skill shares the same cooldown with the warrior class.

It increases Physical and Magical Attack by 8% and All Stats (STR, AGI, INT, and VIT) by 8% for 900s.

💡
Very important to always rebuff if it's been removed or someone has been revived in the party.

Dancer Tree

Here you need at least 65 SP used to learn the first Blade Dancer skill. This is the build I recommend for just pure Blade Dancer skills. You can go hybrid and take some Spirit Dancer skills as filler.

💡
Infinity gives you enough to max out just about everything. You can see my full build leaves 206 Skill Points in the screenshot.

If you do take Spirit Dancer skills, just remember that Breeze Call Dance and Illusion Dance share the same cooldown.

Breeze Call Dance will buff your Blade Dance, Blade Dancer, and Awakening skills so you’ll want to prioritize this over Illusion Dance.

💡
My Tip on Hybrid Builds:

Just don’t. I kid, but if you really want some skills then Abolisher is the only i-frame other than Storm of Ewiniar (Spirit Dancer Ultimate).

You could stop there and max it, but it will not do as much damage as you will not have access to the EX form nor Illusion Dance.

Illusive Gaze gives an action speed buff that does not share a cooldown with Breeze Call as well as an i-frame for the entire duration of the animation. However this action speed buff is very minimal so I would caution against trying to always have it on.

The problem with a hybrid build is the lack of downtime to use any of them unless you can safely rely on the small i-frame from Abolisher into Illusion Gaze.

💡
New players I would generally recommend not doing a hybrid build and instead just gear up a Spirit Dancer on its own.

Graze Dance

This skill is slow in the beginning to use until you learn the EX. The EX will leave the orange and pink vortex at the end.

This will inflict a debuff on enemies that will reduce their Critical Resists by 30%. A decent filler skill once you learn the EX.

Breeze Call Dance

This is a self buff for yourself but also an important skill to master. You’ll recover 7% of your Max HP each time you use the skill. Final Damage will be increased by 20% and Damage Reduction will be increased by 24%.

This skill is also part of your Class Mastery 1 passive.

Sweet Circle

This skill will debuff the enemy and inflict Fracture, reducing the enemies’ defenses by 10%.

The non-EX version is very slow but it is an important skill once you learn the EX version.

Breeze Call (Passive)

This will be a self buff that you want to maintain. Once you learn Class Mastery 1 passive, it enhances it and increases the cooldown from 10s to 20s but the duration for the enhanced is also 20s.

💡
It is important to maintain the Enhanced version as it gives you an attack increase of 2000%.

There’s an i-frame as you bring your weapons together !

Twinkle Spin

A skill that lifts you in the air. The non-EX is slower and will not have an extra attack at the end nor can you use Gust Dementia with it after.

It has an i-frame as she is about to jump into the air but once she is in the air, there is none. A decent filler skill to use with Deadly Drill.

Deadly Drill

This skill is a filler skill, one that you can use to close in on enemies, or one that you can use to extend your Tumble or Squall Flaker i-frame.

💡
I personally will use it when there is nothing else off CD or to save bubble stacks.

It has a small i-frame at the beginning of the charge, before she begins to spin around. It can be used to come out of the air if you are in Elegant Storm or Twinkle Spin but there is no i-frame with that so you are vulnerable to taking damage.

💡
Why is Deadly Drill filler?

It is an awkward skill for most people to control, if you want better camera control then I suggest you up your mouse sensitivity in the game settings.

You can LMB to cancel the dash forward and end the skill quicker or you can use another skill when you’re out of the i-frame to cancel it.

Elegant Storm

This is the non-EX version, a very slow animation cast but deals high damage. One of your main DPS skills, it is important to let all hits connect with an enemy to deal maximum damage.

Inner Fire

The Blade Dancer ultimate. The dash forward and backward have no i-frame but there is one while she has disappeared and is attacking in quick succession.

The dash forward can be canceled with using the LMB but the dash backwards has nothing to cancel early with so it is best to use either Tumble or Squall Flaker to stay close to the enemy.

Sinia Turn (Passive)

Use the RMB after your Tumble to extend the i-frame, it can also be used during Dash to enter into the i-frame.

Mist Step

Quickly rush ahead after casting the skill, it can be used with the space bar after Tumble or Dash.

It has a LMB and RMB input but neither have an i-frame and I do not recommend trying to use it while in battle.

💡
It is a skill to close in on enemies although with Dash it has become a secondary utility skill.

Ecstatic Dance

Your personal buff that deals additional damage based on the enemies HP lost and increases your attack by 20%.

The additional damage will show up in a damage meter spread as Additional Damage (this also includes the buff from Archer/Lencea) as the extra damage will be applied to all the attacking skills you use during its duration.

💡
Use this skill off cooldown, it is your biggest personal buff !

Blade Dancer Tree

You’ll want to max everything on this tree. The EX versions improve on the base skills and will add extra hits to it or increase range of attack.

Elegant Storm EX and Gust Dementia EX become your strongest skills. These two skills will make up most of your damage.

💡
Little Tidbit of Information

Try not to early cancel out of these; Elegant Storm provides you with a damage reduction during it and Gust Dementia provides you with more super armor during it so it gives you some cushion to not have to tumble/cancel out of these.

Squall Flaker

A quick i-frame with a counter attack locked to the spacebar or LMB key. The i-frame is only on the initial attack before she rises in the air, you can control if the lift up action happens or not.

💡
I recommend just using it for the i-frame and not the full cast of it.

Gust Dementia

Gust Dementia will be a main source of DPS for Blade Dancer, as long as you get all 26 hits off. By combining it with Elegant Storm EX, you can shred the enemies HP bar.

It can also be combined with Twinkle Spin EX, in case you are knocked out of Elegant Storm, if used together then you will net 2-3 extra hits on Gust Dementia.

Graze Dance EX

Your critical resist debuff. The area is increased and the attack animation speed is increased slightly once you learn the EX passive.

It has a short cooldown of 8s so feel free to use it as filler because you need to generate your Second Wind bubbles with it and other skills

Sweet Circle EX

Your physical and magical defense reduction debuff. The attack animation speed is increased greatly as when you learn the EX passive it changes to the skill jade version.

It has a short cooldown of 8s so feel free to use it as filler because you need to generate your Second Wind bubbles with it and other skills

Twinkle Spin EX

Shown is Twinkle Spin with LBM input Gust Dementia, Twinkle Spin with Ghost Kick, and Twinkle Spin with space bar input of Deadly Drill.

A filler skill that lifts you up in the air pretty high. This is a good skill to dodge skills like stomps or just about any attacks from the ground.

You can chain it together with Gust Dementia if by chance Elegant Storm is canceled or you are knocked out of it.

Elegant Storm EX

You can combine Elegant Storm with Deadly Drill or Gust Dementia just like you can do with Twinkle Spin.

One of your core DPS skills and a signature skill of Blade Dancer. Once you learn the EX passive, it changes to the skill jade version. This turns the skill into a projectile after she is in the air.

💡
This skill is a good option to use the Skill Up crest from the Cash shop to add a level to Elegant Storm.

Gust Dementia EX

💡
More Little Tidbits of Information

Gust Dementia can be used to maneuver around bosses and sometimes dodge attacks.

You are vulnerable to taking damage and getting knocked out of the skill so I recommend practicing in Sunset Training Ground to get used to the skill.

Increases the attack area and the damage dealt when using the skill. This is one of your main DPS skills and a signature skill. Try not to cancel out of it as much as possible as you will suffer DPS loss when you do.

On my skill tree Gust Dementia is 12/11 - I recommend getting the cash shop skill up crest to increase Gust Dementia’s level.

Once you learn the EX of Elegant Storm or Twinkle Spin, you can now use the LMB to chain them together.

💡
More Little Tidbits of Information

I recommend placing Gust Dementia on your skill bar even if you can cast it after Elegant Storm or Twinkle Spin because, DN is DN and God Game Dragon Nest will happen.

Sometimes you will hit the LMB and Gust Dementia won’t activate or you will get knocked out of the air as you are about to chain them together and then the skill is available to use as if you never tried to use it.

It is your top dps skill so make sure it's on your skill bar.

Class Mastery I

  • STR is Increased by 50% upon learning it

  • Second Wind Bubbles are generated when you use the following skills:

    • Graze Dance
    • Sweet Circle
    • Twinkle Spin
    • Deadly Drill
    • Elegant Storm
    • Gust Dementia
  • Max of 10 Second Wind Bubbles can be held

  • Breeze Call Dance will reduce the Cooldown of any Blade Dancer skills by 2s upon using the skill

  • Breeze Call is massively enhanced upon having 6 Second Wind Bubbles

    • Increases the cooldown of Breeze Call by 10s, original was 10s upon learning Class Mastery I it will go to 20s
    • When using 6 Second Wind Bubbles, it increases your Attack by 2000%
💡
Recommendation

I highly recommend a CD skill plate for Breeze Call Dance because of this skill CD reduction mechanic, especially for newer players to the class as it can reduce the time from 15s to 12s, enabling you to self-heal sooner and over time, more hp as well.

Both normal and enhanced Breeze Call have an iframe so pay attention to the duration buff to know which version you activated.

You can tell which one at a glance by looking at the duration :

  • Non Enhanced will be 5s long
  • Enhanced will be 20s long

Class Mastery II

It increases the damage dealt, shortens the skill animation, and the small gust pulls enemies closer then explodes.

💡
This is a simple passive but it is a must learn to gain access to the next Class Mastery.

Class Mastery III

  • Fancy Turn damage and attack area are increased
  • You can use spacebar during Fancy Turn to cast Squall Flaker
  • Blade Step can be used after Fancy Turn, increasing it’s damage but losing the i-frame

In this clip, I show the interaction when Class Mastery III is learned between Fancy Turn, Squall Flaker, and Blade Step.

There’s a clip of Blade Step on its own for a comparison to the Class Mastery III version.

💡
Recommendation

This is why I recommend maxing the skill out from the Kali Tree because you’ll be focusing on the final part, rather than using it with Squall Flaker.

The class mastery requires Fancy Turn’s level to be at least 6, so there’s no reason why not to max it out since we get plenty of Skill Points.

Awakening Tree

Learn all of these skills.

Zephyr is the skill that will charge your Hero Skill gauge. Use this before using Class Mastery III Combo (Fancy Turn + Blade Step), as it will give you an awakening power buff for 60s that increases Blade Step’s damage by 100%.

Be mindful of when to use the buff [Harmony] Courage as it has a long CD and it is shared by the Warrior class.

Awakening Passive - Upright Spin

  • You are in an i-frame for the casting animation of the skill
  • Gain 2 Second Wind Bubbles when cast to use for Class Mastery I
  • Grants the buff Upright Spin, when using main skills it will send a vortex out in front of you. Use it after using main skills by inputting with the LMB
  • Main Skills are
    • Turning Step (Tumble)
    • Dash
    • Graze Dance
    • Sweet Circle
    • Twinkle Spin
    • Deadly Drill
    • Elegant Storm
    • Gust Dementia
💡
A Tip on Upright Spin:

While it is a full i-frame, you can cancel the i-frame animation with any skill from any of the trees - that includes any Spirit Dancer or basic Kali skills.

But be warned that Upright Spin will only interact with the listed Blade Dancer skills above.

Awakening Passive - Inner Fire

  • Inner Fire is awakened; increases the damage and grants a self buff after casting
    • Attack increased by 15%
    • Attack Speed increased 15%
  • Both buffs have a duration of 85s
  • Cooldown is now 90s, without awakening passive it is 125s
💡
A Tip on Inner Fire:

You are vulnerable during the dash forward and dash backwards so use the LMB to quickly enter the i-frame portion.

And then either use another skill to cancel the animation or Squall Flaker to cancel it but remain in an i-frame.

Awakening Passive - Grazing Rush

It is a fast skill that can reposition yourself if used correctly. Final Damage will be increased under Blade Enhancement from Breeze Call Dance.

Cooldown is 20s and Class Mastery I can reduce the CD.

There is no i-frame or Super Armor so you are vulnerable to damage and knockback.

Awakening Passive - Blade Step

A close ranged skill that is a full i-frame, the range of this skill is deceptively close; you will want to be right on top of the boss for it as the hitbox is not that big.

Final Damage will be increased under Blade Enhancement from Breeze Call Dance..

Cooldown is 20s and Class Mastery I can reduce the CD.

You can cancel it with Squall Flaker but it is not recommended.

Awakening Passive - Zephyr

A mid ranged skill that is a full i-frame. You have full camera control during the skill so you can aim it at a moving boss relatively easily. Final Damage will be increased under Blade Enhancement from Breeze Call Dance.

Cooldown is 60s and Class Mastery I can not reduce the CD. You can cancel it with Squall Flaker or Tumble but it is not recommended.

Zephyr charges your Hero Skill gauge and provides you an Awakened Power buff that lasts for 60s. It will boost Blade Step’s attack by 100% while under the awakened buff.

💡
It is important to do Zephyr first before using Blade Step.

Awakening Passive - [Harmony] Courage

A party wide buff that gives an increase to attack speed by 10% for 40s.

This skill is shared by the Warrior class so if a party has both and the Warrior uses the buff first, then it will go on cooldown for 600s on your skill bar as well.

💡
Caution with Harmony Courage

The duration continues to tick down as you are waiting for people to gather in the portals. Use it only at the beginning of a fight or when everyone else has used their Harmony buffs.

You’ll know it's active by a red hammer symbol in the right corner of your character’s model.

Hero Skill - Vital Crossing

Zephyr will charge your Hero Skill gauge by 25% after each use that hits an enemy. You can use it after 4 successful hits of an enemy with Zephyr.

Vital Crossing itself is a bit misleading in terms of the distance you need to use it.

To take full advantage of the high damage it deals, you need to be a bit further out than you normally are while in combat.

Hero Skill - Example of Bad Range

You can see from this clip here that you completely miss the last 3-5 hits of it and that's where a lot of the damage is in it.

🚫
This range is way too close and is a bad use of the skill.

Hero Skill - Example of Good Range

The range shown in this clip nets you most of the hits as well as the ending, which is what you want but you lose a couple of the beginning hits when dashing forward.

Hero Skill - Example of Best Range

You net most of the dash forward as well as the ending slam to the ground hits.

This is a perfect example of what you’d want in the distance and hit count wise with Vital Crossing.

A habit that I’ve learned to do while learning to use it has been to take a Tumble step backwards and then use it.

💡
You will miss a few of the dash forward hits but connect with the more powerful ones.

Especially the end hits which deal the largest damage out of all of the hits !

Depending on the range that you use the skill, you can expect it to hit anywhere from 25 upwards to 30 hits.

Again, the biggest punch for the skill is at the end where she slams to the ground.

By being a little further back when your cursor is no longer orange is a good range to use it.

⚠️
Caution with Vital Crossing

Be warned, you cannot cancel out of it with any skill so if the boss moves out of range then your DPS will suffer because of that.

It is a full i-frame so at least you won’t take any damage.

Also it is disabled in some content so don’t rely on it to deal all of your damage.

Skill Plates

There are a few good choices of skill plates for Blade Dancer. Test the ones that you prefer. I’ve listed what I use below as a guideline but have fun and use other plates!

My Current Skill Plate Build

  • Breeze Call Dance Cooldown
    • Reduces the CD of the skill by 3s allowing you to use Class Mastery I passive more frequently through a fight.
    • It also provides a self-heal each time you use it, so it is a solid choice.
  • Elegant Storm Damage
    • Increases the damage for Elegant Storm & Elegant Storm EX, the other option is critical chance and not as good.
  • Gust Dementia Damage
    • Alternatively, you could run the cooldown plate if you are struggling with downtime or want to use it more often.

Generally, cooldown is better for longer fights while damage is better for shorter fights but it all depends on how often you can CD reduce with Breeze Call Dance.

  • Breeze Call Cooldown
    • A great option for your Enhanced buff uptime. This allows you to keep it up permanently as long as you pay attention to your buff durations.

By taking 4s off and bringing the CD to 16s this allows for a less strict buff management.

If you decide not to use my skill plate choices then these plates below are good alternatives.

I would drop Breeze Call Dance and Breeze Call cooldown for any of these plates, if you prefer to change it.

💡
I do not recommend dropping Elegant Storm or Gust Dementia as they are your core skills with plate options.

Awakening active skills do not have any skill plates.

Other Good Options:

  • Sweet Circle Damage
    • One of your top 5 skills on the damage spread, it has now become a very strong spammable DPS skill while your longer CD skills are on CD.

The other option is crit chance which is useless.

  • Graze Dance Damage
    • A decent filler skill with only an 8s CD, you already have 100% uptime on the Crit Resist debuff so the CD plate is useless.
  • Inner Fire Cooldown or Damage
    • This would bring the Awakening buff provided by Inner Fire to 100% uptime, lowering the cooldown from 90s to 72s.
    • Or you could increase the damage that it does, but personally I recommend CD plate over damage for Ultimate.
  • Deadly Drill Damage or Cooldown
    • Another filler skill with a small i-frame at the beginning that you can use to extend your Tumble i-frame.

Personally, I would not recommend this one but if you want to use it then I would use the CD option for more access to the i-frame.

  • Phantom Guard Increase Buff Duration
    • A damage reduction and super armor buff that is useful although the super armor increase still will not protect you from getting staggered out of skills.
  • Squall Flaker Cooldown or Damage
    • This skill plate is hit or miss for me, personally as Squall Flaker is already at a 5s CD and with a cooldown plate it lowers it to 4s. Class Mastery I passive also applies to Squall Flaker so essentially you have an i-frame every 3s.
    • The damage option is also not that great because it doesn’t come up in your top 9 list when looking at the DPS meter in game.

This is my least recommended plate option for players.

Skills Rotation

This game is very reactive based so a perfect rotation will never be possible but try to ensure that Elegant Storm, Gust Dementia, Fancy Turn + Blade Step, Grazing Rush, Zephyr, and Hero Skill are fully used.

If you Tumble / Squall Flaker to cancel any of these - Hero skill you can’t but you can miss it - then it's a huge loss in your dps.

Use Squall Flaker, Breeze Call (Enhanced), Upright Spin or Tumble for a quick i-frame. Sinia Turn will extend your tumble’s i-frame, use RMB after tumbling to use it.

Zephyr and Inner Fire are longer i-frames that are good for extended attacks or big damage attacks from enemies.

Buff Yourself First

Courage
Phantom Guard
Barnack Crest
Harmony Courage

💡
A note about Bubbles:

You can pre-stack your bubbles while in Garden or Field so that you can use Breeze Call Enhanced immediately.

I recommend that you gain at least 7 bubbles so that you can keep 1 to continue stacking throughout the fight.

A Quick Look at Rotation

After you have used the aforementioned buffs above, you can move into your dps rotation if you have stacked 6 bubbles:

Dance - Breeze Call Dance - Inner Fire - Squall Flaker - Breeze Call - Upright Spin - Graze Dance - Sweet Circle - Elegant Storm - Gust Dementia - Zephyr - Fancy Turn + Blade Step - Breeze Call Dance - Grazing Rush - Deadly Drill - Graze Dance - Sweet Circle - Breeze Call - Upright Spin, etc

After that just continue to use Upright Spin off CD and all personal buffs off CD.

💡
If you can activate it, use Vital Crossing before you have Zephyr off CD so that you don’t waste charges.

If you have not stacked 6 bubbles, after buffing yourself:

Dance - Breeze Call Dance - Inner Fire - Squall Flaker - Upright Spin (2) - Graze Dance (1) - Sweet Circle (1) - Twinkle Spin (1) - Deadly Drill (1) - Squall Flaker - Breeze Call - Elegant Storm - Gust Dementia - Breeze Call Dance - Zephyr - Fancy Turn + Blade Step - Grazing Rush -Upright Spin - Graze Dance - Sweet Circle, etc

Then just continue to use Upright Spin with your Blade Dancer Skills, using Elegant Storm and Gust Dementia together off CD, and then awakening skills off CD as well.

💡
The key is to keep your Breeze Call Enhanced buff active while performing your rotation.

Break Dance

😂
I blame Aerie for this title, if it is too cringey for you then blame her too.

There are certain moments where all of your big skills are on cooldown.

What I like to do in the downtime is spam Graze Dance, Sweet Circle, Deadly Drill, and Grazing Rush as they are usually off CD together while the other skills are just about to come off CD.

I also use Upright Spin whenever it is off CD.

💡
You can see in this clip that everything is on CD, so I make use of the Class Mastery I passive to bring Graze Dance and Sweet Circle off CD.

Then reuse it for damage while Elegant Storm and Gust Dementia are just about to come off of CD.

Space Bar Interaction

There are several skills that have some inputs via spacebar but I recommend learning to use them on the skill bar as spacebar input can be unreliable.

Mist Step

With dash this skill is mostly not used anymore but you can combine it with Sinia Turn or Deadly Drill to close in while still dealing some damage.

Squall Flaker

Squall Flaker can either be activated with a spacebar input twice to rise in the air, or to simply do the i-frame animation.

I recommend that this skill is on your skill bar to react quickly to enemy attacks.

💡
Tip about Squall Flaker

It has a CD of 5s so it's the go to skill for avoiding attacks. Just be careful when you use another skill before the i-frame is done, you can cancel out of the i-frame itself with another skill.

If you are in a place where you will still get hit then immediately use another i-frame skill after it. Once you leave the first animation, you are vulnerable.

You can cancel out of almost any skill using Squall Flaker. Only Elegant Storm EX, Twinkle Spin EX, and Vital Crossing cannot be canceled with Squall Flaker.

Deadly Drill

Shown above is Twinkle Spin EX’s different skill uses, including using Deadly Drill with the spacebar input.

The spacebar activation happens when you are in the air. You can use it to quickly come back down to the ground.

💡
Why do you repeat skills on the Skill Bar?

I like to keep my setup similar for my right side with my utility skills and on the left side is my damage skills.

Sweet Circle has a low cooldown and can be used to save your Bubble stacks while moving through nests/dungeons.

This has just been a preference of mine since starting DN, set it up however you feel comfortable.

I do suggest placing Fancy Turn and Blade Step side by side wherever you do assign them so that you can quickly use the CM3 version.

I like my hero skill key to be assigned to the key T on my keyboard but find what works best for your play comfort.

You can get special skill plates from the Play Time Points shop at Event Planner Irine.

Barnack’s Breaking point is a buff that increases attack power by 5% and is a popular choice.

The other popular ones are Iona’s healing crest and Geriant’s Barrier.
